Book Announcement: The knee - Diagnosis, Therapy and Rehabilitation
Injuries to the knee joint are among the most common in sports medicine. The authors present the latest diagnostic methods and the criteria for conservative and operative treatment of these injuries. They emphasise the close co-operation that is needed between the sports physician, the orthopaedic surgeon and the physiotherapist. WADA 2008 Prohibited List Now Published
Following its approval by WADA’s Executive Committee on September 22, the
2008 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods is now available. This List will
go into effect January 1, 2008. To see the 2008 List, the 2008 Monitoring

Carl Petersen presented with the Award of Excellence in Clinical Contribution

Carl Petersen, the Vancouver based physiotherapist and STMS member, was recently presented with the Award of Excellence in Clinical Contribution by the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia. The award was based on his clinical work and ongoing teaching and lecture delivery to a variety of professional and lay groups. As well he was recognized for his educational contributions in the form of the Fit to Play™ & Perform Courses and DVD’s series as well as his publications Fit to Play™-Tennis, Fit to Ski and Fit to Deliver™.
